Phosgenite on Baryte
A fine intergrown group of rare Phosgenite crystals from the Bage mine, Matlock, Derbyshire. Crystals of Phosgenite are tabular in habit, lustrous gemmy colourless to translucent white. The Phosgenite crystals standing proud from a matrix of drusy 'cockscomb' Baryte with scattered crystals of black Cerussite. A great specimen of a rare Derbyshire species. It has been repaired once, but this has been reflected in the price of this rare specimen.
