Colorless prismatic gem crystals of fluorapatite to 1.5 cm in length coming off matrix. In good condition. The fluorapatite occurrence at La Celia in Jumilla, Murcia, Spain, is hosted within unique ultrapotassic volcanic rocks known as lamproites, formed during the Miocene epoch. Unlike typical pegmatitic apatite, these crystals formed directly from volatile-rich magmas, resulting in distinctive amber-colored to yellowish hexagonal prisms embedded in a dark volcanic matrix. The locality has a long history of scientific interest and mineral collecting since the nineteenth century, drawing researchers and collectors eager to acquire these rare volcanic apatite specimens from the classic Spanish site.
