Tanzanite is the blue and violet variety of the mineral Zoisite (a calcium aluminium hydroxyl sorosilicate). The color is caused by small amounts of Vanadium. Tanzanite is only found in Simanjiro District of Manyara Region in Tanzania, in a very small mining area approximately 7 km long and 2 km wide near the Merelani Hills.

Points this large are extremely hard to come by. This piece has a beautiful clarity across a large part of the crystal and features a large main termination, and two smaller terminations on the base of the piece, along with the section where the crystal was originally removed.

03. HONEST NOTES / DEFECTS: This item has no major damage, wear or defects, however as with all natural crystals, this item will have minor abrasions. As with 99% of commercially available Tanzanite, this piece has been mildly heat treated to bring out the vibrant purple and blue colours. Please look at photos and videos carefully before purchase as we always try our best to show all angles of the crystal.

04. POSTAGE: We do our best to combine postage costs, however in the event that what you are charged exceeds the actual costs of postage and handling, we will refund the difference upon sending your item.
