Azurite from Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia

RARE High Grade Azurite with Arsentsumebite from Tsumeb Mine, Namibia 40g - AZ -04

An extremely rare combination from a highly sought after locality, this piece of very high grade & deep blue Azurite has a large single terminated point on a backing of pale green Cuprian Smithsonite with Arsentsumebite and is one of the finest examples of this type of specimen I've ever encountered.

It originated from the historic and infamous Tsumeb Mine in Namibia, which was flooded and closed in 1996. That means that no more crystals will be recovered from this mine and it’s getting harder to acquire high value specimens.

In my eyes, it’s just one of the most beautiful specimens I’ve ever seen and I adore the mix of deep, royal blue with soft green.
