Beautiful aesthetic grouping of colorless gemmy prismatic terminated natrolite crystals, these measuring to 1.5 cm are in height, coming off of a flat matrix. This is in good condition. Very nice example for the species. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Jan Erik Larsen.
Located in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the Tirrhist area near Anemzi features Mesozoic sedimentary rocks and small alkaline igneous intrusions containing miarolitic cavities and episyenites. Local artisanal mining and specialized prospecting have targeted these remote pockets, yielding world-class mineral specimens for international collectors. Among the notable discoveries from these cavities are exceptional specimens of natrolite, a zeolite mineral that forms brilliant white, needle-like crystal clusters often associated with analcime and calcite.
