Olmiite from N'Chwaning II Mine, N'Chwaning Mines, Northern Cape, South Africa

This cluster of rich salmon-peach Olmiite is particularly fine, with unusually distinct crystal faces emerging from the aggregate cluster. It is highly translucent, very attractive, and complete all around. It is a slightly elongated piece with a larger 2.3 cm cluster at the center and several well-defined groups of crystals on either side. Individual tabular crystals that make up the aggregates are from 0.5 to nearly 1 cm on edge, which is quite large for these. The crystals are very lustrous and just sparkle in any ambient lighting. To this day, this find of the very early 2000s is remembered as one of those very few discoveries that provided something for every collector, and in all sizes. That being said, there were thousands of them at the time, only a relative few stand out with such quality, then and today. This is a significant miniature display specimen of ultra-refined quality. Please note: these change colors, from red to orange to brown, depending on the ambient lighting used (LED or sunlight or fluorescent lighting). The video and photo will, therefore, differ in color. This is a phenomenal specimen for a miniature!
