Often termed 'flowers' of Prehnite, the rounded crystal aggregates found at Oficarsa quarry at Cárcheles in Andalusia, Spain are perhaps not the vibrant green sometimes seen in Prehnite from some other world localities, but the rosetted nature of the overlapping platy crystals is quite distinctive and pretty. Most specimens from this locality appear to have been extracted between 2001 and 2006, and this fine miniature comes from the David Hardman Collection. Upon it, two main, co-joined rosettes sit with other, part rosettes around the edges. The colour of the Prehnite is a pale cream-green with a translucent appearance and the main crystal groups are in great condition.
