A well formed, lustrous, root beer red Spessartine garnet crystal sits aesthetically on a Muscovite and Quartz matrix from Shengus in the Haramosh Mountains of Skardu District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The Spessartine crystal measures to 1.3 cm and is surrounded with platy crystals of silvery books of Muscovite mica coated with green Chlorite, on a white and smoky Quartz matrix. A fine miniature of Spessartine from this location.
