A fabulous gem spinel crystal from Mogok Township, Myanmar (Burma). It displays a sharp octahedral crystal of 8mm, 2.4 carats. The quality is superb – it is transparent, gem with a rich and vivid cherry-red color. The faces are lustrous. Complete all over floater, like from a textbook. For references see the 2022 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 53, # 1. In excellent condition – some small imperfections. With acrylic base – not glued.

Loveliness!
