In great condition all around.Spinel from Mahenge, Tanzania, is highly regarded in the gem and mineral world for its exceptional color, clarity, and crystal quality. The deposits occur in metamorphic rocks, where spinel forms in association with marble and other high grade metamorphic minerals. Mahenge spinel is especially famous for its vivid colors, including bright red, pink, and orange hues, often with excellent transparency suitable for gem cutting. Crystals are typically well formed and may occur as sharp octahedra, sometimes found in alluvial deposits derived from the weathering of the host rock.
