Gold

22.17 GRAMS OF NEVADA GOLD — NATURE WENT OFF ON THIS ONE.

Against the black background, this piece absolutely EXPLODES.

An extraordinary 22.17 gram Native Gold specimen from the Fire Creek Mine, Lander County, Nevada — and the natural architecture on this beauty is just ridiculous.

Look at that structure. Layer upon layer of intricate, sculptural Native Gold with branching formations, delicate edges, rugged textures and rich metallic luster. Every angle reveals something different.

This is exactly why I love mineral specimens. Gold is already one of the most prized materials on Earth…but when nature creates it in a form like THIS, it becomes something completely different. Precious metal meets Earth’s art.

The dramatic black background, shadows and reflection really show off just how much depth, texture and PRESENCE this specimen has.
