Sphalerite from Bulgaria, Smolyan Province, Krushev dol Mine

An interesting miniature specimen of dark green sphalerite clustered together in two aggregates that resemble soccer balls. They are surrounded by a thin layer of golden chalcopyrite which are coating a previous generation of sphalerite. Accenting the piece are bands of small white quartz.
