Quartz on Calcite on Calcite

This is a specimen with multiple generations of crystal growth. First, the sharp, beige, pyramidal calcite grew. A second generation of calcite spiraled around the main crystal and some other formed around like mushrooms on a tree. All of this was then covered by druzy quartz crystals.
