Hematite from China, Guangdong

This piece is a fantastic toenail sized hematite rose with quartz

"thorns". I got this one many years ago from a small Chinese dealer online. I was surprised by how aesthetic this specimen is and how it is the most "rose like" of the rosettes of hematite l've seen so far. This piece displays quite nicely both vertically and horizontally. I don't typically collect hematite specimens, but this piece stood out to me so I had to pick it up!
