Beryl, 5.5 cm, from Heffernan’s mine, Torrington, Gough County, New South Wales, Australia. This gemmy crystal, found in June 1964, has an etched termination and inclusions of black ferberite along with numerous small crystals and fragments, recovered after about a week of camping and digging out the back fill of a steeply inclined shaft.
