Attractive pink tabular glassy gem crystal of beryl, is the variety known as morganite. This is naturally crystallized all around with no points of attachment. In good condition.The Alto Ligonha pegmatite district in northern Mozambique is a well known region of granitic pegmatites that produce a variety of gem and rare element minerals. Mining in the area has taken place since the early 20th century and has yielded minerals such as beryl, tourmaline, spodumene, and columbite from pegmatite bodies hosted in metamorphic rocks. Many workings have been small scale operations focused on gem quality crystals. The district remains an important source of mineral specimens and gemstones from southeastern Africa.
