Collecting in a pocket at the Diamond Willow mine (now the Blue Points mine)

Collecting in a pocket at the Diamond Willow mine (now the Blue Points mine), Pearl, Ontario. A gasoline-powered drill was required to enlarge the cavity opening enough to extract the specimen shown below; it barely cleared the opening. The cavity was found after noticing a small hole while scouring the floor of the mine; probing with a broomstick revealed a substantial void. Photo by Dianne Kile.
