Fluorite octahedrons on drusy quartz, 19 cm, from the Rock Candy mine, Grand Forks, British Columbia; collected in 2011 from the “Just Missed” pocket. The pocket name refers to a drill hole we used for 3 years to anchor our climbing ropes. Had I drilled that hole 2 inches deeper in 2008, the drill steel would have fallen into the pocket, releasing a geyser of water, soaking me while alerting me to the presence of the pocket!
