Beautiful blue lustrous translucent crystals of fluorite measuring to 1.0 cm in size covering most of the front of matrix and about one half of the backside of the matrix. The piece is in great condition and sits up perfectly by itself or display. Collected in 2018. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark.The Highland Mary Mine, also known historically as the Frustration Mine, is a small historical prospect located within the Tijeras Canyon Mining District of Bernalillo County, New Mexico. Geologically, the site is situated in the rugged mountain terrain east of Albuquerque, where local mineral deposits formed within complex regional fault and fracture systems cutting through older Precambrian and Paleozoic rock units. The mine is primarily known to mineral collectors for small-scale historical extractions of specimen-grade fluorite rather than large commercial metal production, reflecting the diverse yet limited hydrothermal vein mineralization characterizing the Sandia Mountain foothills.
