This specimen is a superb example of octahedral pyrite from the world-famous Huanzala Mine in Peru. While most pyrite is cubic, the Huanzala locality is celebrated by collectors specifically for these sharper, more geometric octahedral formations. The way the octahedrons stack make this a very sculptural piece that displays well. Appears to be a complete floater all the way around. Some damage is noted on a couple of crystal tips and the back side.
