The Waconda meteorite - an Olivine - Hypersthene Chondrite [L6] - fell to Earth sometime before 1871, but its history is not fully known, other than that was the year that its presence was noted by locals in Kansas. With an original total weight of 120 lbs (54.4 kg) the largest fragment found was 26.3 kg and most of that is preserved at Arizona State University. Smaller pieces of this meteorite are not often seen for sale making this 8 g internal fragment (with no fusion crust) a great opportunity to own some of this famous Stony Meteorite.
