Class! This is the simple one-word way of describing this wonderful Fluorite from the famous Clara mine in the Black Forest, Germany. It is a cabinet-sized plate of the most gorgeous pale powder-blue colour Fluorite, with great translucency, and excellent, sharp, cubic crystal forms. However, it is the presence of thin, burgundy red coatings (probably Hematite) preferentially developed on two crystal faces of the Fluorite cubes that elevates the aesthetics of this specimen to a whole different level. It is an exceptional piece and with the benefit of being large and eminently displayable. Appropriate backlighting simply makes this stunner 'pop'. No obvious damage. Ex Hettrich Collection.
