The complexity and detail of this wonderful larger crystallized display specimen of Fluorite on Quartz from Clara mine in the Black Forest, Germany is exceptional. Individually, none of the Fluorite crystals reach more than about 1 cm on edge, but it is the combination of hundreds of perfectly formed colourless cubes tessellated one open the other on a bed of colourless Quartz crystals that provides the wow factor here. Added to this is the mineralogical heritage of Clara mine, a locality written into the history books for its diversity of species - on a par with Tsumeb and Mont St. Hilaire. For a stunningly complex larger crystallized Fluorite from Clara you cannot get much better than this. Ex Hettrich Collection.
