This 4 cm tall individual off-matrix Elbaite tourmaline crystal presents exceptionally glassy surfaces with an excellent flat pinacoid termination and extremely fine vertical growth lines running up the length of the crystal prism. From the modern day classic pegmatite occurrences at Coronel Murta in Minas Gerais state, Brazil it presents the famous raspberry pink colour with a distinctive darker raspberry red tip. Full of sparkling internal inclusions with good lighting this crystal really does look very special. This crystal is mounted upright on a small acryllic base for display but can easily be removed by heating up the glue.
