Arsenopyrite, Fluorapatite, Muscovite and Siderite
Iridescence is an incredibly desirable and visually unique effect in minerals: this occurs often in Arsenopyrite crystals, although the distribution of color in this Arsenopyrite plate is a bit unique: instead of having a mottling of rainbow hues within each crystal, the entire plate features an overall iridescent gradient from purple, blue, green, to orange, appearing like as a heat map or topographic map that amplifies towards the right side of the specimen. Also scattered throughout are Fluorapatite crystals and blades of finely crystallized Siderite. The many Fluorapatite crystals fluoresce a fiery orange, particularly under shortwave UV light. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
