Wulfenite
Very few specimens will compare to the sheer intensity of the Wulfenite and Mimetite crystals on this outstanding plate from the Rowley Mine. The Wulfenite has a neon orange color, associated with the classic "red ball" Mimetite that Rowley Mine is famous for, an unusual habit for the species in its own right. These lustrous, cherry-red botryoids of Mimetite richly accent the equally-shiny Wulfenite "window panes," all of which being sharp and transparent. This is easily one of the finest cabinet specimens from the Rowley Mine, a landmark locality up with the Red Cloud and San Francisco Mines in terms of fame. Remarkably, the quality of the crystals and the overall condition is extremely pristine considering the age of the specimen and the fragility of these delicate yet beautiful crystals. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
