This is a substantial and very showy specimen from an older Mexican locality, featuring sharply-terminated crystals of Citrine splayed across a lustrous layer of white Quartz druze. Both of these examples of Quartz generously cover groups of large, pale Danburite crystals, a cross section of which can be seen from the back side of the specimen. Along with an almost water-like gemminess and strong luster, most of the Citrine crystals on the front side of the specimen are splendidly saturated with a rich golden-yellow color that is enhanced by the contrasting white backdrop. As if that were not enough, essentially all of the Citrine crystals are sceptered! This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
