This beautiful thick (5 cm wide) hexagonal prism of Beryl var. Aquamarine comes from the famous historic gem-producing Minas Gerais state in Brazil. It displays a perfect flat pinacoid termination with six perfectly smooth prism faces which descend to a tapering naturally etched base. With a rich pale sea-blue colour and extremely glassy, reflective surfaces, this looks superb when on display in its purpose made Sunnywood acryllic display stand. Internally, it is full of character, transparent, but with inclusions and wispy patterns. Ex Michael Harris collection.
