Gold from Olive Green, Ohio, USA

Rare and visually spectacular specimen of Native Gold on Quartz matrix!

This incredible specimen is one of the finest and most aesthetic specimens I've seen from the small and rather obscure Native Gold discovery at the Olive Grove Prospect which I have been told was found during the digging of a water well.

This miniature sized specimen displays highly lustrous, semi-crystalline layers of richly colored Gold, both front and back, atop a matrix of white Quartz crystals. Stunning specimen!

Location: Olive Grove Prospect, Mariposa County, California., USA

Measures: 5,7 x 4.0 x 1.5 cm in total size.

And many thanks to Laszlo Kupi from Finemineralphotography for this fantastic shot! @finemineralphotography
