Spectacular and quite rare specimen of Native Gold on Quartz matrix!

This incredible specimen is one of the most attractive miniatures I've seen from the small

and pretty much obscure Gold discovered at the Olive Grove Prospect which I am told was found during the digging of a water well.

This fine specimen displays highly lustrous, semi-crystalline layers of richly colored Gold, both front and back, atop a small matrix of white to banded Quartz.

Location: Olive Grove Prospect, Mariposa County, California., USA

Measures: 6.0 x 3.8 x 1.2 cm in total size.
