Windex blue Aquamarine crystal from Thanh Hóa. Glassy well defined hexagonal prismatic crystal, with good clarity down the C-axis. This locality is best known for the high quality Aquamarine specimens, which are almost always found through small artisanal mining projects. Extraction from these small scale operations is typically done with hammer and chisel.

Editor's note

Vietnamese aquamarine has the darkest blue color and is far less common on the market than Pakistani or Brazilian aquamarine. There is only one region in Vietnam that produces aquamarine. This specimen is gemmy, has great color and is a nice miniature size.
