The Lake George area in Colorado is famous for its Microcline var Amazonite deposits. And the combos you can get with them are even better. We are all familiar with the striking smoky Quartz combos, but they are not alone. Here we have a nest...or a beard...of what one would have assumed to be Hematite or Goethite, but has been identified as Romanèchite, growing on top of a cluster of blue Amazonite crystals. There are a few small pale purple Fluorites mixed in too. This is a unique piece for what Colorado has to offer.
