Prehnite
This is a large and extremely fine Australian Prehnite that we seldom see on the market. These are not just shapeless lumps, this small cabinet piece features three larger and several smaller translucent, green-blue botryoids of Prehnite on a matrix of almost solid, coarsely crystalline Prehnite. The larger botryoid measures 4.7 cm across with the others ranging in size from 2.5 to 3.6 cm. The Prehnite aggregates are nicely translucent in that you can see part way into them and they are also slightly variegated with most of them a lovely green-blue and portions of them more blue-green. The Prehnites display well on the piece in mounded hemispheres resulting in a well-balanced and aesthetic specimen. This is a great Prehnite from Australia, or anywhere for that matter. Formerly in the collection of Jim and Dawn Minette, from whom Charlie obtained it. I self-collected this in 1966 and traded it to Jim Minette (Demetrius Pohl, pers. comm.)
