Outstanding example for the species with glassy gem colorless sharp crystals of analcime measuring to 1.9 cm in size across this matrix. This is in perfect condition. The Fengjiashan Mine, located near Daye in Hubei Province, China, has a modern industrial history beginning with geological reconnaissance in the 1950s, followed by the official establishment of the state-owned copper mine in 1968. Over the decades, operations transitioned from primarily extracting copper and iron to focusing heavily on industrial wollastonite, while continuing active commercial operations into the 21st century. Geologically, the deposit sits within the Middle-Lower Yangtze River metallogenic belt as a classic skarn occurrence. It is hosted by Permian limestone strata intruded by quartz diorite, creating contact-metasomatic zones where iron-copper sulfides, skarn silicates, and massive wollastonite bodies formed alongside complex vug systems prized for rare mineral specimens.
