A beautiful large cabinet specimen with two separate generations of green crystallized fluorite setting on a matrix of large milky white quartz crystals. This is in super condition.
The Ruyuan Fluorite Mine, located in Ruyuan County within the Shaoguan Prefecture of Guangdong Province, China, is a notable modern locality best known among mineral collectors for a limited and highly distinctive find during the early 2000s. Geologically, the deposit sits within hydrothermal vein and replacement systems associated with regional granitic magmatism, where fluorine-rich fluids interacted with surrounding carbonate or sedimentary host rocks to form crystallized pockets. Mineralogically, the mine achieved fame for producing exceptionally sharp, transparent, glassy green fluorite crystals, often modified with octahedral or dodecahedral habits, frequently perched upon or included with sparkling white quartz matrices. Commercial specimen production from this specific site was short-lived, making high-quality pieces scarce and highly sought after by global collectors today
