Stephanite

Two superbly formed thumbnail specimens of crystallised Stephanite from the silver-rich mining area of Freiberg in Saxony, Germany. Both Stephanite specimens display great crystal form with parallel growth of metallic silver-grey hexagonal prisms with flat pinacoid terminations. Both specimens are ex-matrix and each measure 2 cm in length. They are housed together is a small cubic acrylic specimen box with magnifier lid. Two old labels accompany the specimens from the Freiberg Mining Academy Mineral Dealership dated to pre-1889.
