An impressive 2.8 cm octahedral crystal of translucent to semi-transparent rose-pink Fluorite sits on a bed of milky Feldspar and is accompanied by prismatic crystals of Smoky Quartz. The Fluorite is beautifully intact and exhibits interestingly curved prism faces whilst demonstrating bi-pyramidal crystallization. The prism faces form concave curves which gently, yet distinctly, curve in towards the body of the prism. The Fluorite forms an octahedral crystal which is asymmetric due to interruption of crystal growth by the plate of Feldspar matrix. The resultant octahedral crystal has the upper four-sided pyramid with face edges to 2.8 cm while the opposite, lower pyramid has edges to 1.7 cm. It is a beautiful and well-coloured pink crystal, a fine miniature of this truly classic European colour of Fluorite. The specimen comes with a custom-machined acrylic display base.
