Kermesite
From the classic German locality of the Br'unsdorf District in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) of Saxony, a terrific specimen of the antimony oxysulphide mineral Kermesite. Multiple plumose sprays of metallic crimson-red Kermesite are aligned in parallel flat groups across a greyish-colourless druse of Quartz crystals covering a dark-grey igneous matrix with mixed sulphides. An excellent and classic specimen of Kermesite from its type locality at Br'unsdorf.
