Kermesite
Submetallic fan-like clusters of bright maroon-red to grey acicular crystals (to 2 cm) of Kermesite, a rare antimony oxysulphide, richly cover large areas of a white Quartz druse, with rare platy microcrystals of Baryte on a grey rock matrix from Pezinok in the Bratislava Region, Slovakia. This is not the Type Locality but widely regarded as having produced the world's finest specimens - not the largest crystals, but the most aesthetically pleasing arrangements. This fine small cabinet specimen comes from Horst Wolle's collection and features not just flat-lying sprays, but 3-dimensional sprays too. A lovely rich Kermesite.
