Bayldonite
This small miniature of Bayldonite, a lead-copper arsenate, is from its type locality at Penberthy Croft mine at St Hilary near to Mount's Bay in Cornwall, England. Druses of apple to emerald green Bayldonite micro-crystals line vugs and generally pervade a matrix of iron-stained vein Quartz. This specimen is accompanied by an Arthur Russell label and is attributed as an 'R. Talling specimen.' Richard Talling was a Cornish mineral dealer and was one of the very first people to acquire Bayldonite from Penberthy Croft and could possibly have been its discoverer. The label does not bear Sir Arthur Russell's name but is clearly in his handwriting and style.
