Pyrosmalite-(Fe) is an extremely rare complex iron silicate which forms buff to golden-honey hexagonal crystals. This specimen is from its type locality in the Haborshytte ore field in V'rmland County, Sweden and has a rich coverage of Pyrosmalite-(Fe) crystals over a 4.5 x 4 cm area on a block of fine-grained Magnetite matrix. The hexagonal crystals have matt biscuit-buff prism faces and bright lustrous golden crystalline pinacoid terminations. Pyrosmalite-(Fe) forms a continuous series with Pyrosmalite-(Mn). A great opportunity to acquire this rare species from its type locality in Sweden.
