Description
A rich specimen of this rare Gold Telluride from the old (pre Roman?) mining area once called Offenb'nya in Romania. The Sylvanite forms a silvery metallic vein across the Quartz matrix, with dendritic branches to 1.7cm grown from the wider mass of the mineral. The specimen comes with an old Academy of Natural Sciences Philadelphia label, and an old label glued to the specimen stating it is Graphic Tellurium from Transylvania. A rich example of the species. The specimen is also from the type locality area.
