Pharmacosiderite is a hydrated basic ferric arsenate whose type locality is the nearby mine, Wheal Gorland. This specimen is from the St. Day United Mines which lay just a little east of Wheal Gorland, Unity and Muttrall and incorporated old mines such as Poldice and Crofthandy. This small miniature is a typical gossan ore, rich in dark grey to black tarnished sulphides, with vuggy surfaces entirely lined with deep apple-green cubic crystals of Pharmacosiderite. A nice, rich specimen from probably the most famous and esteemed mining district in Cornwall.\n
