Hureaulite and REDDINGITE$3,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A fine large miniature of intergrown and scattered, lustrous pink Hureaulite crystals occupy an area of 4 x 2.8 cm, in association with light brown intergrown crystals of Reddingite. From the Cigana claim on the Jocão pegmatite by the town of Conselheiro Pena in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Hureaulite is a complex manganese phosphate and is a secondary mineral which occurs in granite pegmatites. Reddingite is an iron-manganese phosphate and we note that it was recorded on mindat's the species list for this locality but is now struct off. This specimen may help contribute to this obviously uncertain situation dependant on if its next owner wishes to pursue this course. This point aside, it certainly remains a fine example of Hureaulite from the Jocão pegmatite and is an excellent specimen of these two phosphate species.
