Clusters of steel gray cubes and cuboctahedra of perovskite to 6mm are intergrown with euhedral books of bronze phlogopite that stand up well off the matrix that is carpeted with small, peridot-green augite crystals. A few elegant sprays and tufts of acicular to fibrous, greenish white richterite can be observed in recessed areas of the specimen using a loupe or scope. Coarse, subhedral augite comprises part of the jacupirangite matrix. The carbonatite complex at Jacupiranga, Brazil is the "type locality" for this particular rock type. Ex. Paulo Matioli collection.
