This salt and peppered textured specimen is host to a modest amount of subhedral, prismatic, dark gray, metallic katoptrite to 1.5 mm associated with black, micro granular jacobsite and white to off-white calcite. It originates from the Brattfors mine, Nordmark, Filipstad, Varmland, Sweden, the type locality for the species. Katoptrite is a rare and complex manganese aluminum antimony silicate. Ex. Paulo Matioli collection and is accompanied by a Swedish Museum of Natural History label.
