Rutile on Hematite
Description
The famous finds at Novo Horizonte produced distinctive bursts of lustrous, golden Rutile needles on Hematite. These Rutiles, up to 2.5 cm exposed, have excellent metallic luster and they grow epitaxially on Hematite, which creates these 'starbursts'. Interestingly, the Hematites are tiered, so you actually have multiple layers of Rutiles. This gives the piece depth and a lovely aesthetic not often seen.
