Source volume: 51, issue: 5, PDF page: 84. Label: Figure 25. Aquamarine, 22.5 cm, from the Angico mine, Medina pegmatite field, Pedra Azul district, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This crystal is among those found in 1997 in a single pocket, and purchased from Brazilian agent Wilson Tomich by Pierre Laville on behalf of Wayne Thompson and Gene Meieran. It shows attractive rectangular etch features along the prism faces, and terminations tapered by dissolution. Three other crystals from the same pocket appeared on the cover of the March–April 2002 issue of The Mineralogical Record. (See also Wilson, 2020.)
