An outstanding large cabinet display example for this rare mineral, groupings of brilliant yellow green crystallized carlhintzeite, some of the groupings to 6.5 cm across, are set nicely on matrix. In very good condition. The Qinglong Mine in Dachang, Guizhou Province, China, is a celebrated mineral locality renowned for producing exceptional crystal specimens including fluorite and creedite. It has recently gained attention among collectors for yielding remarkable specimens of carlhintzeite, an extremely rare halide mineral. While originally discovered elsewhere as colorless crystals, the material found at this Chinese deposit frequently occurs in striking, vibrant yellow crystal clusters associated with other uncommon secondary minerals.
