At 11.2 cm in length, this is a significant sized Mimetite specimen from the famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia. Richly crystallized, the individual crystals in this quite pure aggregate are quite large too, reaching up to 6 mm in length and most in the 4 to 5 mm size range, with the classic straw-yellow to amber colour for which Tsumeb is renowned. In detail, the crystals are sharply tapering prisms, with pencil-shaped terminations and quite glassy surfaces. In great overall condition this is an impressive sculptural display specimen for Tsumeb mine.
